Mg(OH)2 + HNO2 -> MgNO2 + H2O
I think this equation is beyond me or is an impossible equation. Nitrous acid is a weak acid and the above equation is not correct, so I need to think about it for a while.
Mg + NO + H20
Possible products, but not sure.
Mg(OH)2 + 2HNO2 --> 2H2O + Mg(NO2)2
------------------------------------------------------------this may do
2HNO2(aq) + Mg(OH)2(aq) = Mg(NO2)2(aq) + 2H2O(l)
word equation : magnesium + water --> magnesium hydroxide + hydrogen chemical equation : Mg + 2H2O → Mg(OH)2 + H2
Mg(OH)2 + 2HCl >> MgCl2 + 2H2O
No - phosphorous can not just appear.Heating magnesium hydroxide will give magnesium oxide and water.
For a chemical equation, you need to specify reaction with something. For milk of magnesia, a common reaction is with stomach acid, HCl. The equation would beMg(OH)2 + 2HCl ==> 2H2O + MgCl2
This is not 'the balanced equation' of MgSO, what is meant is the chemical FORMULA of magnesium sulfate or magnesium sulfite.These are: MgSO4 and MgSO3respectively.
word equation : magnesium + water --> magnesium hydroxide + hydrogen chemical equation : Mg + 2H2O → Mg(OH)2 + H2
The balanced chemical equation is: MgO + H2O → Mg(OH)2 The product formed in this reaction is magnesium hydroxide.
Mg(OH)2 + 2HCl >> MgCl2 + 2H2O
Calcium hydroxide, a base, will reaction with phenol, a weak acid in a neutralization reaction to give a salt (calcium phenoxide (Ca(PhO-)2) and water.
I found this at WikiPedia. It's pretty close. Magnesium Hydroxide is Milk of Magnesia. They show Magnesium Hydroxide from a magnesium salt: ----- The chemical formula of sodium hydroxide is NaOH. The chemical formula of magnesium hydroxide is Mg(OH)2.
The preparation equation depends on the route by which this compound is prepared. A simple route is neutralization of acetic acid with potassium hydroxide: KOH + CH3COOH --> H2O + K+CH3COO-
Absolutely not. There is no sodium in that equation whatsoever.
2NaOH + H2SO4 -> Na2SO4 + 2H2O
H2SO4 + 2NaOH --> Na2SO4 + 2H2O
No - phosphorous can not just appear.Heating magnesium hydroxide will give magnesium oxide and water.
The chemical formula of potassium hydroxide is KOH.
i hope u meant magnesium metal :) 2Mg(s) + 2H2O(l) = 2MgOH(aq) + H2(g)
