B= black, BR= brown, G= green, GR= grey, L = blue, LG = light green, O = orange, P = pink, R = red, V = violet, W = white, Y = yellow. Example: R = Red wire, RG = Red wire with a Green stripe, etc. - AHEARS

I know for the 6 wire wiring harness that goes to the voltage regulator white=Battery, red=ignition, yellow=charge, but Im not sure what green, blue, or the white one that has a black strip. Im also trying to figure out what these mean.

Inferior wiring and connectors can impact performance, but cost doesn't always translate to quality. You may find that the harness is inexpensive because of overstock, etc. Any replacement wiring harness should have the same color wiring as the original factory harness.

dont remember the color exactly, but if the factory harness is still there, the clip side that you push in to remove the harness is positive

you need the proper wiring harness to change the stereo in a cobalt or the security features will kick in once you have the proper harness you just have to match wires
