from what i know the v6 models had no limiter only the v8 models i take my 2002 to 125 without a problem no limit to it i'e had the v8's stall out at 100 though
It has no governor. Speed is computer controlled.
You don't disable it. You get a new one. You can buy aftermarket computers that change the speed limiter. Or you can be cheep and buy one from a totaled police interceptor from the junk yard.
The speed controls are programmed into the engine ECM. The only way to disable them is to have the ECM settings adjusted.
