Jehovah's Witness services are conducted in a calm organised fashion. Members of the congregation are attentive to what is being taught from the platform and do not call out "amens" or shout their opinions out during the service. Agreement are expressed upon request usually by brief clapping/applauding of hands. There is no overtly emotional display of devotion and no arms waving or jumping up and down as is characteristic of many pentecostal and evangelical churches.

During the discouses the audience is invited to follow along in their bibles and many take brief written notes of the points covered. Children are sit with their parents and are helped to concentrate as best they can. The items that invite audience participation are follow a "question answer" format, with the individual taking the lead asking questions and the audience raising their hands before being called upont to express their opinion on the answer.

The services begin and in song ("hymes") and at the closing and opening prayer those in agreement with the sentiments expressed say "Amen" once.

Before and after the service Jehovah's Witneses generally mingle and enjoy fellowship.

The cumulative amount since the Witnesses started is not available. The 2013 annual report gives a peak figure of Witnesses in Israel for the 2012 service year of 1379. Not all of that number is necessarily Jews as it may include non Jews that are Witnesses that live in Israel.

What are the titles for the elders of Jehovah's Witnesses?

There are no titles, everyone is referred to as Brother or Sister. Jesus said all are equal, no man is above another. Elders & Ministerial Servants are just positions of service, to serve & teach others, in harmony with scriptural requirements. Elders and Ministerial Servants also do not wear distinguishable clothing to elevate themselves above others in the congregation. They are also not paid for their service. All congregational work done by Jehovah's Witnesses, including the elders and ministerial servants is voluntary. They support themselves by secular means so as not to be a financial burden to the members of the congregation.

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses have no prohibition to accepting state or private help or aid if they duly qualify to receive it.Note: Given the particularities of the elderly, and their special needs, it should be noted that individual Witnesses (or their families) are free to make their own personal decisions in this regard and not all Witness families will decide to accept the provision of a pre-prepared food provision service ("meals on wheels").
