Example: On a 1992 Lincoln Continental with a 3.8L V-6, if it is still there, look for a decal located normally on the top of the engine fan shroud or stuck under the hood. It will have the engine size, engine family, some EPA/SMOG info and usually the type of sparkplug and the plug gap. The one above said to use plugs AWSF-44C (which is probably Ford part number) and to gap plugs at .052"-.056". This is for a 3.8L V-6 engine, your vehicle may have a different engine. If all else fails call a Ford or Lincoln dealer or even a parts house such as Auto Zone and ask them. Be sure and tell them the car's year model and what engine you have.
Hope this helps.
spark plug gap is 0.43 inch Spark plugs normally come preset as Gap .044
Correct gap is .045 for the 3.1 engine.
.045 I believe Incorrect. Not sure how many mods there are, but for 1992 Ford Crown Vic, the gap setting should be between .052- .056.
i have a 94 dodge spirit with a 2.5. and the spark plug gap is 0.35 I have a 92 Spirit with the 2.5, all of the 2.5L engines have the cap of 0.350
For all Accords and Preludes from 1984 through 1995, the correct gap is 0.039-0.043 in (1.0-1.1 mm.)
Check to make sure the wires are all tight and you have them in the correct firing sequence. Also make sure you put the correct plugs in.
The spark plug gap for a 92 Corolla is .032, according to Autozone.
Check the spark plug wires and the distributor cap.
