10 40w engine oil!
15w40 so says the manual
Hi your saxo is a front wheel drive, the engine and gearbox use the same oil so just use your engine dipstick. Hope this helps. you need 2 litres of oil for the gearbox no dip settings so a drain and refill is the most accurate
You will have traces of oil gunge in the water overflow bottle that's the tell-tale sign of it going, Oil filler cap will have a white to creamy colour gunge on it. also excessive water consumption over heating.
Saxo 1.4 Ltr Engine code KFW (TU3P/L4) Grade 15W/40 semi synthetic Quantity including filter 3.5 Ltrs
Engine 1.1i = 3.2 litres Engine 1.4i = 3.2 litres Engine 1.6i = 3.2 litres Engine 1.4HDi and 1.4HDi 16V = 3.8 litres
how to top up gearbox oil in a petrol saxo 1.4 x reg
In the gearbox
On a 1.8 petrol xsara Picasso the oil filter is underneath the engine in the middle towards the front. The air filter is in a little box held by (3?) screws on the front right of the engine compartment.
5w/ 3o is the correct oil type...
If you accidentally did that then drain the engine oil out immediately and pour in the correct weight oil.
Common sense. Use the incorrect oil and you will damage the engine.
