not sure about newer models but the old models take 280 ml in each fork
Remove bolts at top of suspension forks. Raise front wheel off ground. Pour oil into top of front forks. Leave 100 mm or 10 cm measured from top of forks.
The front forks must be removed from bike to check or change the oil. Clymer m457-2 1997 104mm standard ,min 81mm, max 120mm
Bihind the number plate on the frame where the front forks attach it should be stamped on with the vin # but if its not you can run the vin at bikebandit.com.
hi the chassis number on a dtr 125 and in fact all bikes ive ever seen is stamped into the the side of the tube at the front of the frame where the front forks go and the engine number is usually on the left hand side of the engine

Hi, to remove your front forks undo the four 10mm nuts that hold the front wheel spindle, undo the spindle & remove wheel. look at the vin number on the frame just above your front forks count through to the tenth letter or number x..is for 1999 y..is for 2000 1.. is for 01 2...for 02 and so on

first ck and make sure the float level is correct and if ok the needle and seat are bad.
I would talk to a suspension shop about what weight oil to use for your bikes forks and your weight and riding ability. It sounds like it might be time to rebuild your forks, possibly new damper rods and springs.
