There are four different engines that you can have with this model. a 1.8L, a 1.9L, a 2.0 SOHC, or a 2.0 DOHC. I am in possesion of the last of the four. The first thing to do is to purchase a manual. There are two major manu. of these manuals. Chilton's and Haynes. I reccommend the latter of the two. More pics and more in-depth instruction. It's a little difficult with some of the engines (2.0DOHC) not so bad with the others.

Not sure what you mean. If you mean the serpentine accessory belt on the engine you fasten a 3/8 inch ratchet on the tensioner and pull it towards the front to release the tension then you can take it off the pulleys.
