This is a free calculator on the United States Postal Service for calculating postage rates on letters or parcels sent from the US to foreign countries. The reason I include the link is because postage rates are subject to change. Thus any direct answer I put up would eventually be outdated.

As of 12:20PM EST, January 2nd, 2009 A.D., the current postage rate for a letter weighing 1 ounce or less, or in other words a letter consisting of, at most, 5 sheets of 20# 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper in a standard security envelope with up to 3 standard stamps, posted from in the United States to anywhere in the United Kingdom, including England, is $0.94 Postage in United States Currency. This means 3 standard 41 cent stamps would do the job, or if you wanted to be more precise, you could put two 41 cent stamps, one 10 cent stamp, and one 2 cent stamp on the envelope. Or you could just go to the post office and let them machine stamp the postage right on the envelope.

I hope that answers your question.

Thank you.
