curb weight on an 88 g20 chevy cargo van
The weight of my 1992 G20 van is around 5800 pounds empty. The model is the G20 cargo van with no tool bins or other added weight. The weight comes from our local landfill weigh station.
G20 is a 3/4 ton and a G30 IS A 1 TON
The curb weight for a 2008 Chevrolet G3500 1 ton extended cargo van is 5,465 pounds. This van has a V-8 engine.

It is important to be aware of a vehicles curb weight when driving it. For a 1965 Chevrolet truck the curb weight varies based on the model, but usually for this year they are about a 1/2 ton in weight.
Chevy uses letters for models example G= full size van, C= full size 2wd pickup, K= full size 4x4 pick up. They use numbers for capacity 20 stands for 3/4 ton, 10= 1/2 ton, 30= 1 ton van.
A G10 is 1/2 ton, G20 is 3/4 ton and G30 is 1 ton.
