St. Michael is a pure spirit possessing of an angelic nature and the beatific vision. Since he has no matter or material parts he is not subject to any sort of physical change or decay and so was never born nor will he ever die. He was created by God out of nothing as were all the angels.
The Catholic Church celebrates St. Michael's feast day on September 29th. St Michael is an archangel so he has no birth date.

∙ 10y agoAs an archangel Michael did not need a beatification or a canonization by the church. Michael was from the beginning of his existence an archangel of the deity. In fact, referring to him as a saint is a little misleading. In common usage, a saint is any member of the Christian church. In a sense more typical of the Catholic church, the term can refer to a deceased person who led an exemplary life and who is declared by the church to have reached heaven. The person can therefore be considered an intermediary between the world and the deity. Michael was neither of those things. Using the term 'saint' in this way is more of an honorific, a way of expressing reverence for his person. If anything, applying the word 'saint' to an archangel may be a bit unintentionally demeaning.
