How many craps can you take in a day?

It depends on how many dice rolls you make. To start a round, the shooter makes one or more "come-out" rolls. A come-out roll of 2, 3 or 12 is called "craps". The derivation of the word "craps" comes from the French word, crapaud, which means toad, referring to the way the players looked when they were crouched over.

What is 'back door little joe' when playing craps?

"Little Joe" stands for the number four, it is a call made by the stick person in craps. "Back door little Joe" does not stand for anything. I've been in the gaming industry for over 30 years and I'm a craps dealer, neither I nor any of my colleagues have ever heard of the term in reference to craps. Improvement: It's back do' (pronounced doe) little joe and it means you shoot the dice back handed or "out the back door". When you go back do' little joe you hit the four backhanded.
