What does obd0 mean?

OBD0 and OBD1 are generations of diagnostic boards in Honda automobiles. ODB1 is the newer generation of board and is capable of relaying more information.

Will the f17 auto trans work in place of the fw2 trans in a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville?

Not a good idea. I have done this and Over Drive does not work nor does cruise control. The speedometer also reads off by the exact difference in the ratios of these tranys (3.06 vs 2.84) According to several forums I have checked, the 4T60E transmission in the 1994 Bonneville should only be replaced by an exact match - meaning a 1994 vintage fw2 4T60E transmission. Swapping with other years is further complicated by the ODB1 vs ODB2 computer differences.

Did 1995 civic have obdll?

all cars 1995 and older have an ODB1 or ODB0, All cars 1996 and newer have ODB2. Unless the car has had a motor swap it should have an OBD1 ecu.

The code sending unit is under the hood and is the ODB1 type you have a ODB2 but the connection is different Do you need an adapter Thanks?

An OBD1 type vehicle is not compatible with an OBD2 code scanner. You'll need to get the proper code scanner for your vehicle.

Does a 1995 integra have the same body stlye as the 1997 integra?

Yes with a few minor cosmetic differences, and some major internal ones. It is the same frame code. The headlights are set in a little more on the '97. Also the tail lights on the '97 are all red instead of having yellow inserts. I think '97s came with a limited slip, but don't quote me on it. The big difference for those of you that like to tune your cars is this: '95 was the last year HONDA(Acura does not exist outside of North America and China) had ODB1 ECUs in the Integra. You can get away with a lot more legally if you have an ODB1 vehicle.

Where do you plug in the diagnostic tool for a 1988 Jeep Cherokee?

Answeras far as i know your vehicle has to be 93 through 96 in order for you to use a odb1 diagnostics tool on it or 97 and newer for odb2. If you can get ahold of a shop manual it will give u all of the sensor resistance and voltage values. also some manuals at the auto parts stores have the values in them but idk which books they are

Why would the check engine light illuminate on a 1990 Chevy Corsica only when the max heater or defrost is activated and the normal HVAC works fine?

look at the o2 sensor. the motor slows down and may cause the reading. you can take it to a parts store and ask them to run a computer scan and see if it can identify the problem. they ususally don't charge for the scan. they want to sell you the parts for the problem. The age of you vehicle may require a special scan tool. After 1996 all vehicles were required to have an obd2 connection. before that most had an odb1. hope it helps. duboff
