A 32-bit computer handles 32-bit data (four bytes) as its native data size. A 64-bit computer handles 64-bit data (eight bytes) as its native data size. Generally, a 64-bit computer will be faster (theoretically, twice as fast, but other factors also affect performance) than a 32-bit computer but, to take full advantage of that, the operating system, as well as the application, must be running in 64-bit mode.

The difference between a 32 bit and 64 bit CPU is the speed in which a computer will read and process the information. A 64 bit CPU will read much quicker and can handle the memory usage better than a 32 bit.

What s the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit in surface tablet?

The terms 32-bit and 64-bit describe the way that the computer's processor handles information. 64-bit systems can handle a larger amount of RAM than at 32-bit system can; thus the 64-bit operating system can run faster.

What is different between a 32-bit version of Windows 7 and a 64-bit version of Windows 7 when trying to install drivers?

The only difference comes at when you are getting the drivers. While installing 32-bit drivers to a 64-bit computer, the installation might be successful. However, when installing 64-bit drivers to a 32-bit computer, the drivers will not install. But it is good to get drivers that match your computer bit system.

What is the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit version of windows operating system?

Basically it has to do with the size of the chunks of information handled by the CPU (the computer's processor). The 64-bit chunks are obviously twice the size of 32-bit chunks and a CPU on a 64-bit system can work faster.

Difference between 32-bit and 64-bit Windows system?

The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.

If your chip is 64 bit is it better to load 32 bit software or 64 bit?

It has almost no difference, the 64 bit might be slightly better tho. so if you have a 64 bit operating system you should always pick 64 bit software (if available) 32 works somewhat the same.this is what windows says about the difference between 64 and 32 bit:The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called aCPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.
