A couple minor differences in interchangeable parts, but nothing major.
Essentially, the 1200 was built by Winchester/Olin from 1964 through 1980. In 1981 (when the 1300 was introduced), Winchester Firearms manufacturing was taken over by U.S. Repeating Arms Company, continuing through the closure of the New Haven plant in 2007. There are some minor detail differences, such as how the slide bars attach to the bolt, but that's about it. The 1300 is pretty much a copy of the Winchester/Olin design. With very few exceptions (principally internal -- nothing to do with mag tubes, barrels, or furniture) parts and stocks are nearly 100% interchangeable.
Also, if it matters, the 1300 & "1300 Defender" (no longer made) will shoot up to 3" magnum shells, where as the 1200 will only shoot (up to) 2 3/4" shells.
The Winchester 1400 is pretty much a semi-auto version of the 1200 (and not a very reliable semi-auto in the author's experience).
My late model 1200 takes 2 3/4" or 3" magnum shells.
Around $200 - $300 a little more for the S.S. model
No, they are not. I bought a Speck Ops folding stock for the Winchester 1200/1300 series of shotguns, for my Winchester SXP Defender. Upon trying to install the stock, it was obviously much different than the old 1200/1300 series. ATI mentions a stock system with Winchester adapter for the 1300 and the SXP series, try calling them to see if you can buy just the adapter or the stock system, if that is what you are looking for.
The difference between 750 and 1200 is 450.
The winchester model 1200 was made between the years 1964-1981.
1800 - 1200 = 600
22.2222% difference.
None that I am aware of.
NoThis is from the Winchester Website:How versatile are the Model 1300 barrels? Will they fit earlier or different models? The Model 1300 barrels will fit Model 1200 receivers, but 1200 barrels will not fit a Model 1300. Model 1400 barrels will not interchange with Models 1200 or 1300 barrels. The Model 1300 Defender barrels will not interchange with the 1300 Field models and viceversa.
The Winchester model 1200 shotgun is a pump action shotgun.
your winchester model 1200 shotgun has a pump action.
The difference is bore size. From the factory they have similar engines, but the 1200 has larger cylinders/pistons.
