What is the difference between a GT Mustang and a California Special GT Mustang?

In 1968 The GT Equipment package was available on the 230/325/390 hp Mustangs.
They had 14" styled steel wheels which were chrome or painted argent with GT hubcaps, a pop open GT gas cap, side "C" stripes and quarter panel GT emblems.
There was no special difference made between the standard and automatic transmission models.
The California Special package was unique for 1968, the GT/CS .
It was available on hardtops only, and only for dealers in California.
It had a Shelby rear deck lid with the integrated spoiler, sequential taillights and Shelby, non-functional side scoops.
It had a blacked out grill and the mustang ornament was deleted, special side stripes were added, styled steel wheels and Lucas or Marchal fog lamps were put in the lower front valance. It may have had any of the mustang v-8 engines.
About 5000 were built.
On a side note another special mustang Similar to the California Special was the High Country Special, this one was sold only by Colorado dealers.
It was identical to the California GT/CS, with the only exception being the High Country Special decal taking the place of the GT/CS identification on the side scoops.
