Penguins are a group of aquatic Flightless Birds. Information: They live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, with only one species, the Galápagos penguin, found north of the Equator. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage and flippers for swimming. Most penguins feed on krill, fish, squid and other forms of sea life which they catch while swimming underwater. They spend roughly half of their lives on land and the other half in the sea.

∙ 12y agoAdult penguins have feathers flattened over the body and young penguins have soft cute down feathers to keep them warm and snug. Adults are able to breed as they now have enough cromosones and young are still developing, Adults do the fish catching babies keep cosy between legs and eat upchucked food. Parents are taller and weigh more, baby penguins are as light as a house cat.
