Some are, some aren't. It's impossible to generalize. Also, for the purposes of this discussion let's agree that "better" means "better academically" as opposed to any of the other things it might mean.
The best Christian schools are far better than the average public school.
However, that doesn't mean that any Christian school chosen at random will measure up well.
One example: There was a Christian school in my hometown that was not accredited; instead of getting a diploma, graduating seniors there received a "certificate of attendance." If they wanted to legally claim to be high school graduates, they had to get a GED.
They had essentially no "college prep" classes; no advanced math (where "advanced" means "at least algebra"), very little science, etc. Several of their teachers didn't even have college degrees, let alone meet state certification requirements.
It would be extremely difficult to claim with a straight face that they were even adequate academically speaking; they certainly were nowhere as good as the local public high school in that regard.

Public schools, on the other hand, may offer a more diverse environment, a wider range of extracurricular activities, and typically no tuition fees. It's important to consider factors such as your child's needs, the school's academic reputation, and your family's financial situation when making this decision.

The difference between a CDL school and a public school for driving has to do with the fact that a commercial driver‰Ûªs license school versus a public school has a greater specialization in commercial driving. While a public school may be more affordable, they generally take longer to register and complete their certifications. To complete a commercial driver‰Ûªs license school in the CDL avenue is more likely to expedite certification.

Catholic school are a little more expensive to attend than public schools which means that what ever price you have to pay to go to a public school it will be higher if you attend a catholic one. Also, it is very common that catholic schools support uniform policies meaning there is a high chance that if you go to a catholic school you will also have to purchase a school uniform, which can cost anywhere between 200 - 500 dollars.
