They are related. Cockatiels are about 12 inches long from head to tail and Toos are much, much larger (depending on the subspecies). I recommend you research both these species on the web in order to answer your question. There are many differences between these 2 types of parrots.

∙ 14y agoWell, a parakeet is smaller than a parrot by a lot, and there is a cere above the parakeet's beak. A parrot is also very destructive. Mine has already taken practically a chunck out of the couch!
