Ferrets are burrowing animals, Minks are semi-aquatic.Ferrets and minks both basically look alike in size and shape, the difference is in the fur - colors and textures are different. Both are bred for their fur used in clothing - In fact, many ferrets are bred by mink farmers for their fur because they are easier to handle than minks.

∙ 14y agoThere are many. The hamster is the "most" different, as it's a herbivorous rodent while the cat and the ferret are both non-rodents and carnivores. Cats and ferrets are broadly similar in many ways - they have similar dietary requirements (though ferrets need more fat and protein in their diet than cats do), have similar behaviour and, according to most owners, are of similar intelligence (I'd say the cat is most intelligent, but not by much). There are many physical differences, however, as they're from entirely different zoological families - the cat is a member of the Felidae ("cats and cat-like animals"), the ferret Mustelidae ("weasels and weasel-like animals"). If anything, ferrets share closer physical similarities with dogs than with cats.
