Framboise is the French word for raspberries. Framboise, the beverage, can be one of three basic things
-a sweet tart beer flavored with raspberries (such as a Lambic or Kriek)
-a sweet brandy type liquor made with all or part raspberries (like Chambord)
-an eau-de-vie which is a colorless unsweetened liquor (sort of like fruit flavored vodka)
Shiraz is a dry full bodied red wine. Shiraz is the Australian name for the same grape known as Syrah in Europe and North America. Most often the Shiraz is blended with other grapes, but several producers make 100% Shiraz wines.
Hope this helps.
There is no difference with exception of location. Syrah grapes are is typically grown in France, while Shiraz is found in Australia. In California, it is called Syrah.
Semantics. Some countries call it Syrah, some call it Shiraz. -It's the same thing.

Shiraz and Merlot are both great drinking red wines. Shiraz will have a more fruit forward taste and a little more tannin, Merlots are know to be more middle of the road as far as fruit, tannins and style. Merlots were the hot wine to have during the mid 90's everyone wanted them then Shiraz came in from Australia around 10 years latter offered great value and very drinkable wines and became the darling. Prices of Merlot have come down and Shiraz is still a great buy. Enjoy either!
