Induction stove tops use magnetism to heat up the pots, so with that said the pots have to have a magnetic property to it. Induction stove tops are much safer, with the only spot on the top that becomes hot is that spot that the pot is touching. Glass tops still use elements which cause the glass top to get hot and causes the pot to become hot so if the pot you are using is smaller than the burner all of that extra room is not being used which is loosing energy. Induction tops heat up the pot which heats up the stove. That means the top is safe to touch all around the pot without getting burnt.

There is a big difference between the glass stove top and the coil top. The glass top is neater looking and is easier to clean if you use clean bottom pots and pans when you first get the stove. When finished cooking wipe off the stove top and most of the time you are done with the cleaning. Coil top stoves are much harder to clean. If something boils over you have to lift up the coils and try to clean up the waste.
If you mean converting an electric stove with coil burners to a smooth, glass cooktop, the answer is no.

These terms apply to the coils inside a wattmeter. 'Pressure coil' is an archaic term for 'voltage coil', which is connected in parallel with the supply, while the 'current coil' is connected in series with the load.
Solenoid has a longer length compared to its diameter. The Distance between two loops in a solenoid is longer. while Coil has the bigger diameter. The distance between two loops in a coil is shorter compared to its diameter.
A distributor cap holds all the wires, A coil only has 1 wire in the top of it.
any pan especially with very flat bottoms. The exception is cast iron. due to the heaviness, they will crack the surface. I know because this is what happened to mine. I would rather have a coil-type stove so i can use cast iron. my glass top broke.
