Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is an inactive prodrug to Dextro-amphetamine that's broken down in the digestive tract somewhere into Levo-lysine (the AA) and Dextro-amphetamine.
About 50% of the active compounds in Adderall are Dextro-amphetamine salts, the other half being two racemic amphetamine salts. So, Adderall consists of roughly 75% Dextro-amphetamine, the ultimate active metabolite of lisdexamfetamine, and 25% Levo-amphetamine.
There are also differences in their pharmacokinetics. Adderall comes in immediate and extended release formulas. Vyvanse has a very long effetcs duration, longer then the extended release Adderall. I would take Vyvanse in the morning and always be good for the rest of the day, while the Adderall XRs wore off earlier.

DextroAmphetamine is simaler to Meth in ways, but Meth has the extra Methyl Nomenclature, which allows it to cross the Blood Brain Barrier easier. Either way, they're both in the top 3 strongest stimulants. FYI, you can get a prescription for MethAmphetamine for treatment of ADD/ADHD, the brand name is Desoxyn.

Basically, Vyvanse is dextroamphetamine bonded with lysine (an essential amino acid). The euphoria experienced with 50mg Vyvanse orally, is comparable to 25mg Adderall orally. However Adderall is active through insufflation (snorting) so I would assume the euphoria would be better on Adderall.

Yes, mixing Adderall and Vyvanse can be extremely harmful to the body. Both medications are CNS stimulants, and have very serious side effects on their own. The combination can be dangerous. Do not attempt this unless your physician informed you to do so. Even if you had a prior prescription to Adderall and later have Vyvanse added, the physician should know about your prior prescription and inform you of how to switch over. It is always recommended you inform your physician if you take Adderall before being prescribed anything from them (unless of course they are your primary physician or caregiver, in which case they will already know)
Vyvanse is a new drug on the market which only recently got FDA approval. Up until the point where it gets FDA approval the drug cannot be sold and so no money is being made on it. That means that the initial research costs, which often times can be huge, need to be made back before the drug can drop in price. This is why often times drugs are more expensive when they are new and then you will see a gradual drop in price as the drug becomes older and the company starts to make a profit as opposed to paying research expenses.
