∙ 10y agoA judicial review is used to challenge whether a decision in a particular case is lawful. Therefore, it is used to determine if the act itself was illegal. An appeal challenges the particular decision on the case. So if someone was found guilty they would use an appeal to try to change the decision to not guilty, or a judicial review to try to say that the act was not against the law.
