Mechanisation involves human assistance for continuous operation. But in case of automation, u dont need any operator. Some times material loading and unloading is done manually but still its automation. Mechanism involves use of cam, springs, contours, gears as actuating devices and prime mover. In automation, we have smart controlers whice activate the prime mover as and when required. Thanks..!! Bhargav Jani ME AMS, BIT, Mesra, India
Knowledge work systems and office automation systems serve the information needs at the knowledge level of the organization. , where as office automation systems primary aid data workers (although they are also used extensively by knowledge workers)
the difference between manual system and computerized system is manual system is too difficult to organize the data, and also has so Marney duplicate data, and also non-updated, out of search the previous data or record, computerized data system is also updated system and new version, you can able to manage Essie and flaxible that is the different.
They feared vandalism and arson from the workers who were loosing jobs to mechanisation.
The difference between a shogun and a samurai is like the difference between a king and a knight.
there is no difference between this two...
mechanisation [Brit], mechanization
automation can be digital.
Just the names.
Technacaly nothing but aumation is the use of robots in society
Flexible automation ; You have to consider it when you need low production rate, varying in demand and shot product cycle. As you see the difference between these two automation's name Flexible automation has flexibility to deal with design variations. Fixed automation ; In the opposite of Flexible automation should be consider when you have high demand volume and long product cycles. The product unit of fixed automation is more cheaper than the one which made in flexible manufacturing system.
Flexible automation allows for easy reprogramming and quick changeovers for different products or processes, while programmable automation typically involves fixed programming that is more difficult to change. Flexible automation provides greater versatility and adaptability in manufacturing processes, whereas programmable automation is more suited for repetitive tasks with minimal variation.

Programmable automation is less flexible than flexible automation when it comes to producing variety product. Programmable automation need to reprogram when new kind of product need to be produce, while flexible automation don't. The system with programmable automation must undergo physical setup, such as tools must be loaded, machine setting need to be entered and feature must be attached to the machine table. While system under flexible automation can product multiple kind of product at the same time without physical setup.
Hard automation systems must be physically altered to change their function but often yield the fastest operation. Soft automation robots are programmable, and changes can be made in the computer.

A PC based automation uses a microprocessor with separately provided CPU, RAM, EPROM, ATD & DTA sensors, which are wired together to offer the desired end result. However, a PLC based automation uses a micro controller, which makes use of a single chip controller with inbuilt both analog & digital I/Os.
hard automation is fixed, suitable for large volumes of production, is used to manufacture only 1 kind of product, has less flexibility, initial capital required is high soft automation is flexible, suitable for small volumes of production, can be used to manufacture more than 1 kind of product, more flexible, intial cpital required is less
