Conventional Sources

These are the commonly and widely used sources

eg. Hydroelectricity, Thermal Power (from coal, mineral oil, natural gas)

It is also known as non-renewable energy source.

Non Conventional Sources

These are the new sources of energy, which are still not in common use. Their contribution to the national power is nominal.

eg. Atomic, Solar, Tidal, Wind, Bio gas, Geo thermal.

It is also known as renewable energy sources.

Renewable energy includes sources that can be regenerated, such as:

- wood (you can grow more trees)

- solar (the sun will come out tomorrow)

- wind (the wind will blow tomorrow)

- crops such as corn for ethanol (you can replant next year)

Non-renewable energy includes sources that, once used, are gone and can't be regenerated:

- fossil fuels (once the coal, oil or gas is taken from the ground, it's gone)

- nuclear (but we've got lots of fuel, that's not the issue here)

Conclusion to the extra use of non-renewable sources of energy?

If humans continue to use nonrenewable sources of energy, they will eventually run out of them. This means that eventually renewable energy sources will be the only energy source.

What is the difference between conventional energy and non conventional energy?

energy we cannot reproduce eg:fossil fuels is called conventional sources of energy energy which can be reproduced for unlimited times.also known as renewable sources eg:light enrg from sun.

Benefits non-conventional sources of energy?

If you mean sources like wind and solar energy, they are renewable because they don't consume fuel which is non-renewable, they don't emit greenhouse gases, and the sources of energy are free.

Why renewable resource is best?

Renewable energy can't run out. Non-renewable energy WILL run out. Renewable energy is produced at a constant rate, non-renewable is not. Renewable energy is free when the generator is built, non-renewable is not. Renewable energy does not cause pollution (with the exception of biofuels), non-renewable energy does.

Which is used more renewable or non-renewable energy?

non renewable energy

Why fossil and solar energy the same?
