What is the difference between cyber bullying and traditional bullying?

Cyberbullying (and cyberbullies) pertains to one using cyberspace to harass another person, (e.g. text messages, social networks, chat rooms, etc).

Regular bullying (and regular bullies) is face to face and more physical; it usually happens in places a person shows up on a steady consistent basis (e.g. work, school, a park or playground, etc).

Bullying can be a big range of physically hurting someone, mentally and emotionally hurting someone, and hurting someone through the internet or a cellular device. Cyber bullying is when someone says bad things about someone either through the internet or cellular to them or to someone or many people about someone hurting them or becoming uncomfortable.

Cyber Bullying: That is when someone is sending you E-mails, or if on a forum, PMs that say horrible things about you, call you names, etc.

Traditional Bullying: That's the old "I'm gonna beat you up" thing. This happens in real life, and it occurs usually in middle school and high school.
