better audio and mail and not much else is what I've seen
Sadly, no i tried to use 3g or 1g firmware on my ipod touch 2g and it didn't work. You have to have the exact firmware file. Like if you have an ipod touch 1g with 2.2.1 firmware you have to have the file made for a 1g itouch that has 2.2.1 firmware
The I-pod touch has a touch screen.
Go to 'Settings'. Then 'about'. Your firmware is under version.
Storage capacity is the only difference.
Stock Firmware for iPod touch 1g: Means The Original Firmware from Apple, when you update your iPod through iTunes over internet that means you are getting stock(Origin) version into your iPod. Best Regards, Sarkawt Amedi.
an Itouch has a touch screen and a ipod does
You first have to download a torrent of the version of firmware you want, and then you can install it onto your iPod touch
The ipod touch and the ipad are the same except the ipad is bigger than the ipod.
Firmware 3.1.1
go on itunes and connect your ipod touch to your computer and hold shift and click upgrade
Apple announced today that the new software (firmware) for the iPod Touch will become available on June 17, 2009. If you purchase an iPod Touch today, you will most likely have to pay $9.95 if you want to upgrade the firmware to 3.0. However, (this has yet to be confirmed by Apple) if you purchase your iPod Touch after June 17, you should get the new firmware preloaded on it for free. Therefore, I would recommend waiting until then to purchase an iPod Touch. Further, I would specifically ask if the iPod Touch you are purchasing has the 3.0 firmware loaded on it or not.
The ipod touch 8gb mainly because you cannot yet jailbreak the htc touch and the ipod can have firmware updates.
