Ribulose bisphosphate, known as RuBP, is a 5-carbon sugar that is used in the Dark reactions (Calvin cycle) to fix carbon from CO2 (carbon dioxide). The Dark reactions begin when one molecule of CO2 is attached to RuBP.
This is where RuBisCO comes in. Ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase is the enzyme that catalyzes the addition of the CO2 molecule to the RuBP. This forms an unstable 6-carbon compound which immediately splits to form two molecules of a 3-carbon compound called 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA)

Rubisco
Carbon dioxide. In the light-independant reaction of photosynthesis (Calvin cycle) the enzyme RuBisCo catalyzes the carboxylation of RuBP with carbon dioxide, and catalyzes the primary chemcal reaction in which carbon permanently enters the biosphere.
RuBP is ribulose biphosphate. It's purpose is in the dark reaction. It is formed by taking a phosphate, coming from the splitting of ATP, and joining it with RuP, changing RuP (ribulose phospate) into RuBP. RuBP is then able to join with CO2 and form an unstable 6C molecule which is the basis for the dark reaction.

The first step of the Calvin cycle is carbon fixation. RuBisCO (ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase) is the enzyme that fixates a carbon from carbon dioxide to RuBP (ribulose-1,5-bisiphosphate) to make 3-phosphoglycerate.

Note: The reaction of CO2 and RuBP is catalysed by Rubisco (Ribulose 1,5 bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase) GP in turn is used to synthesize amino acids (with the use of nitrates from the soil) and fatty acids.
