A four stroke engine requires the piston to travel up and down a total of 4 times to complete one full combustion process. The 4 strokes are: intake, compression, power (ignition), exhaust. And the intake and exhaust valves are timed accordingly.
A two stroke engine fires ever other stroke and uses ports for intake and exhaust (no valve train)
No difference.
in a two stoke engine ther is only two steps before it starts the cycle over, in a 4 stroke engine there is 4 strokes
2 strokes to many
2 stroke means it takes two strokes for a power stroke and 4 sroke takes four strokes for power stroke so in otherwise 2 strokes are way faster and more torqey
A four stroke engine has 4 strokes per cycle, whereas the two stroke engine has only 2 strokes per cycle. Since the 2 stroke engine has twice as many power strokes as a 4 stroke engine at a given rpm, the 2 stroke is capable of making nearly twice the power of a 4 stroke for a given displacement.
some newer 4 strokes do but in general most 2 strokes do not, they have a screen installed between the case halves
the 2 stroke is faster
Some of them are two strokes an some are 4 strokes Most of them are 2
There are many differences. One, for instance, is the pipe is bigger on a two stroke, but that's only looks. Two strokes also have more of a high-pitched noise, where as four strokes have more of a low pitched noise. But power-wise, there is a big debate between which is faster. You see, two strokes are fast for taking off, where as four strokes are good for racing and for top speed. The four stroke got its name because it has 4 cycles to make the engine run, and 2 stroke only have 2 cycles.
As per my knowledge, There is no any 6 stroke engine in existance. The engines are catagorised as 2 Stroke and 4 stroke engines. The difference is 1)Suction 2)Compression 3)Ignition and 4) Exhaust (called power cycle) complete in 2 or 4 strokes.
it depends..because yammaha manufacturers do make both 2 strokes and 4 strokes
The guideline is how many strokes you are under par. So on a par 4, which is under 2 strokes, - 2, its called an Eagle. Holing it out in 1 on a par 4, - 3 strokes is an Albatross.
