Old Apostolic belive in the old ways such as no tv, music, competive based games or internet unless it is your income and to not be of the world. From personal experience they worship lestadias alot more than they should.

I am an Old Apostolic member and the previous answer is INCORRECT.

The Old Apostolic faith believes in the Emmanuel principal (God in man) and that they are part of the Body of Christ, Christ being in man as is said in the bible. We live normal lives, watch tv, play video games, we use the internet to even have Skype meetings.. everything is VERY normal, and we also make time for God. We believe in God, we try to live good lives by putting the Word of God first in our lives and by living by the word. We believe the bible to be Spiritual (that which is spiritual) and Natural (that which is historical).

We have Apostles which lead us. All our Offices are voluntary meaning no person get's paid for being a member or Servant including the Apostles contrary to what people say. Our offices are chosen by God not by man. We believe in the Father Son and Holy Spirit, and that they are one. We have dreams which are descerned by the Gifts God has placed within our church, we have prophecies and visions (read Job33 and 1 Cor 14). We believe in Love and that God is the originator of love and therefor love another as God Commands, also working our faith in the spirit.

I am not familiar with the New Apostolic church and humbly invite a member to elaborate on their beliefs.

With Sincere Old Apostolic Greetings.

The Old Apostolic Church was started in 1927 by a man called Carl Klibbe when he broke away from the New Apostolic Church.

According to the official Witwatersrand court settlement papers (Court Case 432 of 1926) "...Carl George Klibbe did in the year 1915 sever all connection with and declared its independence from the New Apostolic Church, whose headquarters is in Germany which is subject to the jurisdiction of the Apostle College and Apostle Unity and under the leadership of Herman Niehaus of Quelle, Germany..."

The Old Apostolic Church do not believe that Jesus will return, they believe that they (the OAC) are Christ and that the members of their church are Jesus. They believe God is the spoken word and that the Bible is a dead letter. They believe Heaven is a state of mind and that Heaven is within each of their members. The New Apostolic Church believe in the second coming of Jesus.

Who were the founding fathers of the Catholic Church?

Jesus instructed the Apostles, specifically Peter, to found the church in Matthew's Gospel. Thus if the Church were to have "founding fathers", it would be the 12 apostles. This is why the Church calls itself the "Apostolic Church on Earth" because it traces back directly to that of the Apostles themselves. You can read more about their founding of the church in the Acts of the Apostles book of the New Testament.
