Unconsciousness refers to a lack of awareness and responsiveness to stimuli, while unresponsiveness can include both a lack of response and a lack of reaction to stimuli. Unconsciousness generally implies a more profound lack of awareness than just being unresponsive.

Unconscious means that one is not responding to any normal brain activity. The unresponsive or unconsious state usually comes first in the case of an accident. After a certain amount of time without oxygen flowing to the brain, then one may slip into a coma. This means that there is a heart beat but one appears to be in a deep sleep with little or no brain activity.

Unresponsive can mean a person would rather not speak/respond to your comment or they are seriously ill and cannot respond. Non-responsive means not responding because they choose to or not reacting to a medical examination.

The unconscious mind refers to personal thoughts, feelings, and memories that are hidden from our conscious awareness.
