There are several differences between plant and animal cells. The three most pronounced differences are:

1. Animal cells are encased in only a cell membrane, while plant cells have an added cell wall that gives more rigidity to the plant and counter-balances osmotic pressure

2. Plants use thylakoid filled chlorophyll structures as a first step to produce energy and finish the process in what is called the "dark reactions" (aka Calvin Benson cycle); animals on the other hand do not produce any energy, but rather extract energy by a process of glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and electron transfer phosphorylation.

3. Vacuoles are small and numerous in animal cells, whil plant cells typically have only one large vacuole.

- there are a few other differences that you may be looking for, but are not as pronounced, such as:

different shape and size tendencies, Plastids are absent in animal cells, lysosomes are not typically found in plant cells, plasmodesmata are absent in animal cells, plant cells cannot be phagocytic,

How are animal and plant cells different when become two cells?

Animal and plant cells are different because the plant cell has everything that the animal cell has, but the animal cell doesn't have everything that the plant cell has, in terms of the animal cell not having the cell membrane and the chloroplast.

How is an animal cell different from a plant cell?

A plant cell has a cell wall.

How are plant cell different from animal cell?

Well, since plant cells have a cell wall and chloroplasts, the animal cell does not. The animal cell has centrioles and lysosomes, while a plant cell does not.

Why ar animal and plant cells different?

Plant cells contain cell walls, chloroplasts, and a permanent vacuole. Animal cells contain lysosomes. That is how plant and animal cells are different.

What is the different in a animal cell and a plant cell?

animal cells have a nucleus and plant cells do not. Animal cells also have a cell wall.

What is different from plant cells and animal cells?

Animal cell do not have cell wall while plant cell do have cell wall. In Animal cell plastids are usually absent and plant cell have plastids.

Is a cell membrane a plant or animal cell or both plus?

A plant has a cell membrane and so does an animal, but they're not just one. An animal has a cell membrane just like a plant but they look different and have different functions.

What are the different and similarities between the plant cell and animal cell?

Animal cells have no cell Walls and plant cells have a cell wall
