Greenland is a big place ... the bottom of it is 1,650 miles closer to the equator than the top is.
Where you start from is going to make a difference.

The town of Nanortalik on the south coast is 4,156 miles from the equator.

It's open water all the way, so traffic shouldn't be a problem.
