The 1986 Honda Civic was built with three different 4-cylinder engine options of 1.3, and two 1.5L variants. The 1.3L is code 'EV1.' The 1.5L can be either 'EW1' or "EW3.' The original engine type can be confirmed and verified through the vehicles vintage number and or its build sheet.
I have a 92, but it is in the engine compartment near the battery and the firewall.
Nothing, go buy a Chevy and put a Corvette engine in it.
I have a 92 and it is in the engine compartment passenger side near firewall. HTH.
Yes...Well it is an interference engine, not zero clearance. Which means when the timing belt breaks the pistons with "interfere" with the valves.
It is in the front of the block between where the second and third spark plug wires connect with the engine. It took me a while to find it myself.
Honda Civic Si and Honda Civic Si EP3 the same thing. There are several different year models of of Honda Civic Si's. EP3 is the chassis code for that specific Civic Si 01-05 was the EP3. So the new Civic Si 06 to current two door model is the FG2. By the way the chassis codes are found in the VIN#.
a B16? yes as long as you can get it with the ecu, the wiring harness, transmission, and the custom motor mounts(Hasport has them)
Check engine codes on Honda vehicles such as a 1992 Honda Civic have to be manually reset. To do so, remove the ECU fuse located inside the engine bay.
found it
It is not just the 07 Civic SI, but the Honda Civic SI made after 06 requires premium fuel because it has a strong engine. It runs more smooth on premium fuel than regular fuel. Regular fuel will eventually damage the engine.
I'm not sure if there is really a engine color code on the engine, but there is a engine code. Look on the cylinder block close to where the transmission connects to. There should be a extended flat surface and the engine code should be imprinted on it. I'm pretty sure the engine code should d16z6 for an ex and si model, but on for 92-95
Civic, its newer with the more powerful K series engine
