In 1922. king Alexander of Yugoslavia married princess Maria of Romania ( later queen Maria of Yugoslavia). Queen Maria's maternal grandfather was Alfred,Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha,son of queen Victoria. So, sons of king Alexader and queen Maria were direct direct descendants of Queen Victoria. They had three sons, Peter II,who became king,and princes' Tomislav and Andrej. Peter had to abticate after comunists rule came to power.
