if the 302 firing order 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 dosent work try a 351 windsor firing order 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8.. on my 1992 gt mustang the 351 windsor is the firing order that it uses.

I had an 85 mustang HO 302 CARBURATED MANUAL, with mods and it was a roller cam with the firing order 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. ALL LATE MODEL HO'S ARE THIS FIRING ORDER, NON HO'S ARE DIFFERENT FIRING ORDER. I'VE OWNED 4 MUSTANG 5.0'S 84, 85, 86, 93. AND THEY ALL HAVE THIS ORDER. ONLY 85 AND A FEW PRE 85 AUTOMATICS WERE A FORM OF THROTTLE BODY FUEL INJECTION. MANUAL 85'S WERE HOLLEY CARBURATED, 1986 WAS THE FIRST YEAR FOR SFI FUEL INJECTION AND IT WAS CALLED A SPEED DENSITY SYSTEM.
