firing order is 153624. with 1 closest to the FIREWALL. see also, my answer to a previous question on this site. Should be similar to a 1993 XJ6 which is: 1-5-3-6-2-4
What is the firing order of a 1983 Jaguar XJ6 dist. cap order. Its 1,5,3,6,2,4 if my memory works.
if it's a 6 cyl it's 153624
1-5-3-6-2-4 Number 1 cylinder is at the front of the engine
This is the same for virtually every inline six on the road today. The firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 with number one at the front.
The fuse for the window controls on a 1986 Jaguar XJ6 is in the passenger compartment fuse box. It is in the second row down and the fourth fuse from the right in the fuse panel.
4.2 litre straight six.
I believe it is 36 psi. Beez in Delaware
I have a 1997 XJ6 and the Vehicle Care booklet states that for both the 4.0 litre and the supercharged is 1-5-3-6-2-4
1-5-3-6-2-4 No. 1 cylinder closest to firewall....
where is located on a 1996 jaguar xj6 starter ?
one at the time
The firing order is 153624 with the number 1 being closest to the FIREWALL on the engine. Very important when timing the car. The distributer runs counter clockwise, and the numder 1 position on the distributor is to the left of the top retaining screw or clip when standing at the side of the car looking directly at the distributor. As far as I'm aware, this holds true for the xj6 1981-86. Hope this helps.
