See if you can find an engine compartment decal - autozone . com shows : 1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8 ( I believe they are correct ) and about . com shows : 1 - 5 - 4 - 2 - 6 - 3 - 7 - 8 and motorcraft . com doesn't show the firing order ( as you can see , either way #1 , #2 , # 6 , and # 8 are in the same position on the distributor cap ) The distributor rotor turns counterclockwise and I believe the 1995 and 1996 F-150 - 302 ( 5.0 L ) firing order changed to 1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8 , and possibly the 1994 model also
