1997 3100 V6 GM Firing order Answer1-6-5-4-3-2
3100 V6 -- The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6. I know it seems wrong but that's what it is if you have a 3100 V6.4 Cylinder -- The firing order is 1-3-4-2.

1-4-6-3-2-5 for the 2.8 and 3.1 liter engines; 5-2-3-6-4-1 for the 3100 models.
The firing order for a 97 grand Am is 1-2-3-4-5-6. the number one cylinder is on the passenger side, closest to the firewall.

For a 3100 engine the firing order is 1 2 3 4 5 6....it is different for a 4 cyl but is that 123456 fireing order on the 3100 chevy malibu for the coil pack.

Front 246 ** I'm guessing you have the 3.8L Grand Prix. I only added the 3.1L because it was an engine used in some grand prix models.
The timing is electronic and is not adjustable.
