I would suggest giving it fresh gas, a fresh battery, and new spark plugs. While the plugs are out you could squirt a little Marvel Mystery Oil in each cylinder and turn the engine over a few times before putting the new plugs in. If all else is ok, it should start right up.
something you might check, i had the similar thing happen a couple years ago with a Pontiac grand am that i had. turned out the the ignition control module was cracked, and the heat from the engine would shut the module down
The gasoline engine came first. The gasoline engine was invented and patented in 1823 with the first efficient gasoline engine developed in 1876. The diesel was invented in 1893 which was 70 years after the gasoline engine.

I have an Excursion with the V10 , and the engine has turned 200K kilometers ( this is about 125k miles) The engine is still in perfect condition after 12 years of driving , and I expect the engine to work for at least 12 years more or double the distance. Last 5 years i have been running it on E-85 fuel , ( special motor software ) and no problems what so ever.
