A flight from Bristol to Glasgow will fly north towards Liverpool close with the Welsh border, then the flight will fly over Lancashire and the Lake District before crossing the border with Scotland, after crossing the border the plane will head north over the Southern Uplands before making it's descent into Glasgow.

A flight between these two locations heading south will fly over southwest Scotland, the Lake District, Lancashire (passing near Blackpool), North-west England (i.e St Helens and Liverpool), and then pretty much over the Welsh border (passing over Shropshire and Herefordshire), before descending into Bristol.
