Well, you can certainly password each of the computers seperately. But the router will only accept one password so all 8 laptops will need to use the same password to log online.
Check that you are typing the password correctly ensuring that the caps lock key is not on.Check that nobody has changed the password.

well, for one thing its so that other people you are with can't just go on and do whatever they want to your laptop an invade your personal privacy. if you have a username and/or password , then they would need to know it in order to log onto your desktop and do whatever they want.
A bicycle is an excellent form of transport and is certainly economy friendly. There are multiple accessories one can buy for a bike, including a laptop carrier. The most common form of a laptop carrier is a backpack and you can find lots of stockists online.
hey, trying replacing the CMOS battery.it deletes all passwds
A physical cable lock port (like a Targus cable lock which secures the laptop to a table to prevent theft) is next to the T43's USB ports on the left side. It looks like a vertical slot.To prevent access to the T43 at Boot up, you can set a BIOS password that will require you to enter the password as soon as you power up . To set the password, Hit F1 when you are starting the laptop and change the password from the BIOS menu. Important, unlike a PC, if you forget the T43's BIOS password ... no one can reset or recovery it.If you are using Windows, simply set password protection on the Windows Screensaver.
An extra security precaution that one should take while using a laptop is to make it password protected. If the laptop is connected to the internet then antivirus, malware and spyware software programs are highly recommended. Deleting one's browsing history will also help prevent the invasion of privacy.
Wireless configuration utility asks for passwords only in the case when you have one. If you did not set up the password somebody did it for you. Log on in your wireless router using a LAN cable and change or disable wireless security password.
It's the same access key you use to access your wireless router. Use the same one that your PC/Laptop uses.
I am not sure if there are any other solutions, but the most direct one is to create a user on the laptop with the same user-name and password and the same access level (administrator/regular-user), as on the desktop computer. Then login as that user on the laptop and the files should be accessable. Also, with an administrator account on the laptop, you may be able to "Take Ownership" of the files on the external drive. If the files are encrypted and you don't have the password, this won't help. I don't know the effect if the two computers have different versions of Windows, a lot could depend on this. Kevin
Just because you have a wireless connection, doesn't mean you won't need a password. If the connection you are seeking is secured, then you will need one. About 80% of the connection points that I have ever seen are secured. To edit your contact youir system administrator to get the password to your internet connection or look up your routers website and find how to set a different wireless password.
