The 4th Texas Infantry Regiment was not a unit in WW2. The divisions and regiments were not associated with a State in the name of the unit.

Instead, the 4th Texas Infantry Regiment fought in the American Civil War (1861-1865) on the side of the Confederates States. It was made up of men from Texas. I think it served in General Hood's Texas Brigade that fought with distinction in Virginia.
