I have a 1993 with dual air and it holds 4.25 lbs. I Imagine they are the same. At one time there should have been a sticker on the top of the dryer.
Most GM trucks/SUV's put their orfice tube on the outlet side of the condenser, right below/in front of the radiator.
Most of the time this is a bad Thermal Switch.
