You can't get freon anymore. You need to go to an auto store and ask for a refrigerant that is compatible with a freon system. what you need is a retro kit from your local auto parts . Just go in to an auto parts store you feel comfortable with and tell them you need to update your a/c system to r134. and they will direct you to a retro kit, it has a compatible cryogenic liquid charge (freon) in it that will allow your system to run on r134 that you can by at the auto parts and do it your self . No ripp-off repair shop needed.
The amount of Freon that goes into a 1995 Chevy Suburban depends on whether or not their is just front AC or front and rear AC. If the Chevy Suburban on front AC only it takes 3.0 pounds of r134a Freon. If there is front and rear AC then it takes4.25 pounds of r134a Freon.
