what is the fuel pressure for a Kia Sportage 2001? we are trying to chane one and need to know the pressure needed.
The 2001 Kia fuel pressure regulator can be found on the top of the engine. The fuel pressure regulator will be near the back of the engine.
On the front end of the intake manifold.
The 2001 Kia Sportage runs on regular unleaded.
2001 Kia sportage does not have one.
a sportage must have a big warrenty and prob find its under that?
there is no fuel pressure regulator " sensor ", there is a fuel pressure regulator controled by vacuum located at the front end of the fuel rail.
there is no fuel injection sensor, you have a fuel pressure regulator and injectors that are controled to fire by the computer.
it is in front of fuel rail, attached to it, looks like a silver top hat.
Between 30 and 65 psi. The computer on the car determins the fuel pressure based upon need. There is a FRP (fuel rail pressure) sensor on this returnless system. The FRP sensor is a passive sensor and varies the signal return voltage to the computer which, inturn, controls fuel pump speed to vary the system pressure
the fuel pressure should be 65 pounds of pressure
i would defiantly start by changing the fuel filter
if you really do not have enough fuel pressure check your fuel filter and replace it. also you have a fuel pressure regulator at the end of the fuel rail, Soooo, if you have no or very little vaccumm you have wrong fuel pressure. of course there is the probability of weak fuel pump, but that,s kinda rare, but not impossible.
