AV valves stop the back flow of blood from ventricles to atrium during ventricular systole
After the right AV valve, the blood flows into the right ventricle.
The AV valve is open and the semilunar valve is closed during ventricular diastole.
the bicuspid valve.
mitral valve
Its called the atrioventricular valve or just AV valve
the right AV valve
Bicuspid valve.. a birth defect of the aortic valve.
tricuspid
It flows through the atrioventricular (AV) valves. The right AV valve is the tricuspid valve, and the left AV valve is the bicuspid or mitral valve.
The AV or atrioventricular valves are the valves which separate the upper chambers (the atria) from the lower chambers (ventricles) of the heart. The AV valve on the left side of the heart is known as the left atrioventricular (AV) valve or the mitral valve. The AV valve on the right side of the heart is known as the right atrioventricular (AV) valve or the tricuspid valve.
The left Mitral atrioventricular valve is bicuspid (two flaps).
