There is an Injection Control Valve located on the rear of the Injection pump just above the air compressor that controls the injection pressure, that is causing your problem. There is a "flow sleeve" which actually cools the pump if it's in a tank or wide well. The sleeve ducts water over the motor area before going into the 'wet end'.
