I have a 1993 Cheyenne with a 4.3L V6. I average 18.9 mpg in mixed city/highway driving.
A 1989 Cheyenne with a 4.3 V6 will receive approximately around 15 miles per gallon driving in the city. For highway the gas mileage is around 20.
Gas mileage is between 55-60 miles per gallon

I'm not sure about 40% but it WILL reduce gas mileage I'm not sure about 40% but it will for sure reduce your gas mileage. 40% does extremely high for just one O2 sensor
